ABOUT WASTE HEAT
When the waste heat cannot be used in the summer for heating the buildings, it’s stored in geothermal wells for winter. The heat stored in this way can be used later when the weather cools down, and the need for heating increases. We are looking to scale this solution and enable KajaWoima to become truly ecological and to produce C02-free heating and energy.
Sustainable Energy Model
Typical data centers push waste heat into the air or water to eliminate it and contribute to global warming. The Kajawoima plant represents a significant technological innovation in data center heat storage and reuse, removing this caveat.
KajaWoima produces sustainable energy and stores excess heat underground in sand batteries and geothermal wells. This brings many benefits, such as a CO2-free heat storage facility ready for the cold Finnish winter.
